What is Skin Needling?

Skin needling, also known as collagen induction therapy or microneedling, is an advanced skin rejuvenation treatment that works by creating tiny, controlled microchannels within the skin using fine, sterile needles.

What can I expect?

Your treatment begins with a comprehensive consultation and skin assessment, followed by a deep cleanse. A topical numbing cream can be applied to ensure your comfort throughout the procedure.

Once your skin is prepared, the SkinPen® device is gently passed across the treatment area to create controlled microchannels.

Following treatment, your skin will typically appear pink or red, similar to mild sunburn, and may feel warm or tight. This is a normal response and generally settles within 24 to 72 hours.

Some mild dryness, roughness or light flaking may occur over the next few days as your skin naturally renews.

Many clients notice brighter, smoother skin within the first week, while collagen production continues to improve the skin over the following 6 to 12 weeks.

Recommended Treatment Plan

While many clients notice visible improvement after a single treatment, a course of 3 to 6 treatments, spaced approximately 4 to 6 weeks apart, is generally recommended for optimal results.

The number of treatments required will depend on your individual skin concerns and desired outcomes. Acne scarring and more advanced signs of ageing may require additional treatments.

To maintain healthy, radiant skin, maintenance treatments are typically recommended every 6 to 12 months as part of your long-term skin health plan.
