Plasma Dot Fibroblast Skin Tightening

Advanced Non-Surgical Skin Tightening & Rejuvenation

Plasma Dot Fibroblast Skin Tightening is designed for targeted skin tightening and areas of laxity. It is a non-surgical treatment that uses a Plasma Pen to generate a controlled plasma arc between the device tip and the skin, creating tiny treatment points on the skin’s surface and involves a period of visible healing and downtime.

At Skintique, our treatments are performed using the TGA Approved Purisma Plasmalift Device.

How does it work?

  • Immediate tissue contraction – controlled thermal energy causes the treated tissue to contract, creating an initial tightening effect.
  • Longer-term skin remodelling – the natural healing response stimulates fibroblast activity and collagen and elastin remodelling, helping to progressively improve skin firmness, texture, fine lines and laxity over the following weeks and months.

What can it help with?

Plasma Dot Fibroblast Skin Tightening may help improve:

  • Mild to moderate skin laxity and loss of firmness
  • Upper and lower eyelid laxity
  • Crow’s feet and fine lines around the eyes
  • Lines around the mouth
  • Forehead lines
  • Neck and jawline laxity
  • Crepey or ageing-looking skin
  • Selected areas of stretch marks or loose skin

What is the downtime?

As Plasma Dot treatment creates controlled treatment points on the skin, visible downtime and healing are expected.

Small carbon crusts or dots will form following treatment and should be allowed to shed naturally. Temporary swelling, redness, tenderness, sensitivity and tightness are also common, particularly when treating the eye area.

Healing time varies depending on the treatment area, treatment intensity, skin type and individual response.

Carefully following all pre- and post-treatment instructions is important to support appropriate healing and minimise the risk of complications, including infection, scarring and pigmentation changes.

When will I see results?

Some clients may notice an initial improvement in the appearance and feel of their skin; however, results are progressive. Skin quality, firmness and texture may continue to improve, generally over approximately 8–12 weeks  as the skin undergoes its natural renewal and remodelling process and collagen remodelling takes place.

How many treatments will I need?

The number of treatments required varies according to the area being treated, the degree of skin laxity, your individual skin response and your desired outcome. Significant improvement may be achieved following a single treatment in appropriately selected clients. However, some clients may benefit from additional treatments to achieve their desired result.

Where further treatment is recommended, sufficient healing and collagen-remodelling time will be allowed between sessions.

Your practitioner will discuss the anticipated number of treatments with you during your consultation and create an individual treatment plan.

Which skin types can be treated?

Skin type is an important consideration when assessing suitability for Plasma Pen treatment. The Fitzpatrick Skin Type Scale is a recognised skin classification system used to categorise skin according to its response to ultraviolet exposure and tendency to burn or tan.

Our Plasma Pen treatments are generally suited to Fitzpatrick Skin Types I, II and III. Darker Fitzpatrick skin types have a greater risk of post-inflammatory pigmentation changes following treatments that create controlled trauma within the skin. For this reason, suitability must be carefully assessed during consultation.

Client safety is always our priority, and treatment will only be recommended when we consider Plasma Pen appropriate for your individual skin type and condition.

How long do Plasma Pen results last?

Plasma pen treatments are designed to produce long-lasting skin tightening and rejuvenation.

Following treatment, the skin undergoes a natural remodelling process, with results continuing to develop as collagen production and tissue repair progress.

Results may last for several years; however, Plasma Pen does not stop the natural ageing process.

The longevity of your result will vary according to factors including:

  • Age
  • Genetics
  • Skin condition
  • Lifestyle
  • Sun exposure
  • Smoking
  • Skincare
  • The area treated
  • The degree of skin laxity

Although the skin that has been treated and tightened has undergone a structural change, the skin will naturally continue to age over time.

Maintaining a high-quality skincare routine, protecting your skin from UV exposure and maintaining healthy lifestyle habits can help support and prolong your results.

Is Plasma Pen right for you?

Every client's skin is different, which is why all Plasma Pen treatments at Skintique begin with a personalised consultation.

During your consultation, we will assess your skin, discuss your concerns and desired outcome, and determine whether Plasma Pen is the most appropriate treatment for you or whether another treatment may provide a better result.

We will also assess your medical history, skin type and suitability for treatment before proceeding.

A consultation is required prior to treatment so that we can create a safe and personalised treatment plan specifically for your skin and goals.
