PDO Mono Threads are inserted into the sub dermal level, to help promote the creation of new collagen. The threads activate collagen synthesis which produces a gradual skin tightening and rejuvenating effect, lasting 6 to 12 months. This minimally invasive treatment allows for natural-looking results, improving the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

What can I expect?

The treatment begins with the application of a topical numbing cream to ensure comfort throughout the procedure. Once the skin is numb, fine, dissolvable threads made from polydioxanone (PDO) are carefully inserted just beneath the surface of the skin using a fine needle or cannula. These threads act as a supportive mesh under the skin, triggering a natural healing response that boosts collagen and elastin production. The threads gradually dissolve over time, but the lifted, tightened, and rejuvenated results continue to improve over several months, leaving the skin firmer, smoother, and more youthful in appearance.

The time of your procedure can vary, but typically take 30 to 60 minutes. You will begin to see results in 6 weeks which continue to improve over the next 2 to 6 months as new collagen is produced. Although the threads will slowly dissolve you‘ll continue to see results for up to 12 months.

Bruising is common after this treatment, but swelling is minimal. A little tenderness at the injection site can be expected post treatment. Ice may be applied to soothe the treated area.
